Reflections

Reflections

Before embarking on the next stage of the Blog it was felt a moment should be spared to reflect on some of the highlights of last years holiday along the same route, using photographs taken at the time. Just to set the scene

Most important to have the right level of service from the crew.
Is this a dream we wonder?

This is the card we handed out as we met different folk on our
travels. We hoped they would take time to look at the Blog.
The design for the 2015 is in the pipeline. Which is a polite way
of saying "We have no idea at all what the next card will look like"

Time to introduce our three wise men left to right
Dave, Trev and Malc

Moored outside the 'Hollybush Inn'  Wonderful public house
with an excellent choice of food at reasonable prices. Stopping
is a must, good moorings and surrounded by nice scenery

Talking of scenery?
Adequate provisions for the trip are essential

Waking to this view in the early hours (very early hours) is a good way to start the day 'on reflection'

Another hidden gem. The 'Black Lion' at Consall Forge. Wonderful pub in a superb setting. You have to visit this place to appreciate it. Great staff, real ale, good food and friendly folk. These words do not do this establishment justice

Stockton Brook locks. hard to believe the hustle and bustle of Stoke on Trent is just but a few miles away.

We had a laugh with these two ladies whist awaiting the filling of the lock, just out of view

This has just been a brief light hearted look at  the holiday in 2014
