Day 2 second attempt!

Day 2 Pity the content from Day 1 didn't work. No guarantee that this will either. Fingers crossed Set off from the base at Stone, leaving there at 0530. Peacefull at that time of day and also it was sunny most of the time only clouding over as we approached the village of Milton. Mooring at Milton gave us the opportunity to go to a local cafe known as The Village Kitchen. Super food at a reasonable price and good service in comfortable surroundings. Checked the phone and realised there was a missed call. Turns out one of our party had left his car window open at the hire base. Karen very kindly offered to come and collect the keys and would then secure the car. Would the bigger firms have offered this? One can only speculate Having returned to the boat the weather is having a say and it's raining quite heavily and appears set in for the rest of the day We have been discussing politics following the news of the election results from which there seems no escape More to follow Met up with 'Rob The Lock' at Etruria. He helped us through the last two locks and also the staircase lock on the Caldon. All for a cup of tea. A decent lad and he just tries to help folk along their way. We were ok but he insisted on helping. He'll be there whatever the weather. Could do with a few more volunters like him perhaps Poor signal a lot of the time and will probably get worse as we move along. Also unable at the moment to load photo's - looks like a lot of editing for Malc when he gets back home
