About us and our journey

We are three old friends that are allowed, courtesy of our respective wives, to have a weeks holiday on the canals each year. This year we plan to visit The Caldon Canal, same as last year. Why do the same trip again? The Caldon is a fantastic canal and there is much to see and do, plenty of interest along the way including pubs and more pubs. There's more to it than that though including the thought that it might well not exist but for those who many years ago had the foresight to see its potential for the future. We and others for years to come are reaping the rewards provided by people that fought and worked so hard to make this canal what it is today. The work goes on of course and we know that. We appreciate it all
